Charlottesville, VA
Sure, this is great if the bride loves history, but more importantly, there are 12 wineries in the area, and some have specialized bridal party tours where you can drink wine with your favorite girls! Why not book a room in a hotel around the University of Virginia campus and have a college-themed weekend too. You could dress in the college colors of the bride, or perhaps if she was at college in the 90s, go for a 90s look. Play old drinking games and stay up late watching films – perfect!
Savannah, GA
Savannah is a beautiful place, especially if you want to dress up and walk around with a drink in hand (because of their amazing open container policy!) – you could get some lovely photos too. There are loads of places for delicious food, and you could make it a flapper-themed weekend and head to Mata Hari’s Speakeasy – this is especially perfect if the bride is a fan of the Great Gatsby (who isn’t?).
Cape Cod, MA
If it’s good enough for the Kennedys… The nightlife in Provincetown is buzzing, and it is a gorgeous New England setting for an impromptu lighthouse photoshoot! Flights are dirt cheap (or get the Greyhound Bus to feel like you’re off to camp again), and so you can afford to splash out a little more on a hotel such as Chatham Bars Inn – right on the beach.
Bimini, Bahamas
If you want a taste of luxury without a long flight, this little Caribbean island is a 20-minute flight from Florida, or get your sea legs with a 2 and a half hour boat ride. Get a vacation rental to have your own space, and if you split the cost between a group of you, it will be really affordable. Spend the time relaxing on the beach with a drink in hand, getting in some last minute pre-wedding gossip.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
This is a little pricier but still much cheaper than a lot of other bachelorette options – and boy is it worth it! A stunning retreat where you can head off snorkeling in the day and party at one of the all-inclusive resorts in the evening. There are spa packages which include dinner and a private spot on one of the glorious beaches.
The important thing about a bachelorette party is that the memories are priceless. Wherever you end up, as long as the bride has an absolute blast, then it’s a success! However, as you can see, you don’t have to go to Vegas for a pricey weekend away to have a fantastic time, there are some fantastic, lesser thought of places that can be perfect.
